Our Story
Ricky and Aliza Bielak had a passion for making homemade, authentic Mexican food long before starting Tacos Gingi. In fact, the couple is from Mexico City and earned culinary degrees there before bringing their skills to the North Shore of Chicago.
In 2015, they were both working at different restaurants in the area when they had a “just for fun” idea: whipping up weekly “Taco Tuesday” packages and doling them out to their family friends. What started as a once-a-week hobby for 10 of their family friends eventually grew to twice a week, then every day for many more families. Eventually, the couple opened up their restaurant, and suddenly Tacos Gingi was born.
Years later, owners Ricky and Aliza are there every single day.
